| Tava's Bio Tava Naiyin began working with Reiki in 1995 fueled by her desire to "manage" a budding panic disorder without the use of medication. While studying with Reiki Grand Master Viki Keyes, Tava quickly learned that the Reiki enabled her to feel calm and at ease in situations where she would have otherwise experienced high levels of anxiety. | |

Tava was born in California and raised as a "spiritual," having no specific religious affiliation but
a deep appreciation for a higher power. As an undergraduate student of religious studies and
psychology she became interested in the root of psychological disorders and the mind/body
connection. Tava felt as if the college curriculum generated more questions than answers
she began to study psychoneuroimmunology (the relationship between the mental state and physical
conditions), alternative healing, and hypnosis. After attending several workshops and courses,
she eventually focused on continuing with her Reiki training of the Usui lineage, as it was
important for her to share the gifts of this energy.
After completing Reiki III in 1998, Tava began to develop a practice and formed a client base of predominately musicians who wanted to receive Reiki before they took to the stage and also noticed a growing desire to teach Reiki to others. In 2003, Tava received the title of Reiki Master under Ulla Suokko and her present client base includes special needs children, people with anxiety disorders, insomnia, chronic pain and anyone who just wants the benefits of Reiki. Over the past few years, Tava has written articles on Reiki and alternative healing which have appeared in various health and fitness magazines. She created Reiki Arts not only to administer Reiki to other people, but to provide her clients with a wide array of tools for self-healing and awareness including books, relaxation techniques, and therapeutic dialogue. In addition, she is currently studying to become a Licensed Massage Therapist. |
